Coming Soon – fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition)

Ever since we released our first FileMaker integration solution for an accounting platform – Xero in 2014 – we have had a number of requests for a version for the QuickBooks Online platform. We ended up releasing a version of fmAccounting Link for MYOB AccountRight and MYOB Essentials in 2016 (ANZ region) but have always wanted to release one for the QuickBooks Online platform.

It’s taken a bit longer than we first planned but we’re pleased to announce that fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) is almost ready to be released. We’re in the final stages of testing and documentation and plan to release fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) later this month.

The initial release of fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) will have the following features:

  • authenticate with QuickBooks (both Sandbox and Production environments)
  • Customers: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Vendors: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Invoices: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Estimates: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Bills: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Purchase Orders: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Products: download from QuickBooks and upload to QuickBooks
  • Payments: download from QuickBooks and upload Invoice Payments to QuickBooks
  • Preferences: download Company Preferences from QuickBooks
  • download Chart of Accounts, Terms, Classes, Departments, Customer Types and Payments Methods from QuickBooks

fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) uses all native FileMaker scripts and functions (no plug-ins required) and requires FileMaker Pro 16 or later. Like our other products it will be 100% unlocked for you to integrate into your own FileMaker solution. fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition) will be able to connect to a single QuickBooks Company. We will be releasing another version later this year that will be able to work with multiple QuickBooks Companies.

We’ve put together a short preview video showing some of the features of fmAccounting Link (QuickBooks Online Edition): downloading Customers and Products from QuickBooks Online and uploading an Invoice and Payment from FileMaker. You can watch this below or via this link on YouTube:
